Home Instead in Augusta, GA is seeking an experienced Full-Time On-Call/Float Caregiver to provide high-quality care across the Augusta service area and nearby regions (GA & SC). This role guarantees 40 hours weekly and requires flexibility to cover shifts on short notice, with first visits for new client cases when introductions are needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year professional caregiving experience.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Valid automobile insurance.
• Provide client transportation as needed.
• Comfortable working in homes with pets.
• Comfortable working with clients who smoke.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different client needs and environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and companionship.
• Fill open shifts on short notice to ensure continuity of care.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Safely transfer clients using mobility aids where needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Document care provided and report changes in client condition.
• Work with clients of all genders.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
