Home Instead in Augusta, GA is hiring part-time caregivers to provide companionship, home helper services and personal care to aging adults in their homes. Flexible daytime and weekend shifts are available, with competitive pay and paid training.

Experience is preferred but not required; a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are important. You’ll join a supportive team with 24/7 office assistance and opportunities for bonuses and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift, push or pull 25 pounds.
• Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle.
• Complete a satisfactory criminal background check, DMV check, pre-employment drug screen.
• Possess the ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation.
• Assist with stabilization and assistance with walking or transfers.
• Prepare meals and clean up meal-related items.
• Provide medication reminders and appointment reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping (dusting, vacuuming, beds, linens, bathrooms, kitchens).
• Wash and irons laundry and run errands.
• Accompany clients to appointments.
• Assist with bathing, grooming and dressing.
• Assist with toileting and incontinence issues.
• Provide Alzheimer’s care.
