Job summary

Encore at Parkside is seeking a Full-Time Occupational Therapist in Newark, DE to lead rehabilitation programs in Skilled and Outpatient departments and to guide patients in activities that restore independence and function.

The OT will assess, plan, and implement treatments, document progress, and collaborate with the rehab team to deliver high-quality care in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Delaware state licensure.
• CPR Certification.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Results-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with therapy documentation (NetHealth).

Responsibilities

• Supervise OT assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel as required.
• Deliver rehab services in accordance with plan of care and schedule; document timely.
• Attend patient care and staff meetings and contribute to conferences.
• Refer to other disciplines as needed to address patient needs.
• Collaborate with rehab team to select appropriate therapeutic regimens.
