Job summary

Central Piedmont Community College seeks a nursing faculty member to uphold high standards of classroom instruction across multiple campuses. The role requires an unrestricted RN license in North Carolina, a BSN, and four years of acute care nursing experience, plus a plan to meet NC Board of Nursing teaching requirements within the first years.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current unrestricted license or multi-state licensure privilege to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Four years or the equivalent of full-time clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital setting.
• Must meet North Carolina Board of Nursing faculty requirements: obtain graduate degree within five years; within first three years have teaching/learning education as outlined (continuing education / certificate / graduate hours / national cert / structured development).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of nursing discipline and connect it to related fields.
• Teach courses and plan instruction to maximize student learning and outcomes.
• Develop, update, and post course syllabi and instructional materials.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information and contribute to program development.
• Participate in college, division, and program activities and committees.
