2027-2028 Full-time Tenure Track / Professional Track Faculty - School of Nursing at Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU) — San Diego, CA

Two (2) Positions Available | Start Date: August 2027

About the Role:

The School of Nursing at PLNU invites applications for two full-time faculty positions across our BSN, RN-BSN, MSN, and DNP programs. Rank and track (Tenure or Professional) will be determined by candidate qualifications.

Salary Ranges (3-Semester / 2-Semester Appointments):

Responsibilities:

• Teach across pre- and post-licensure nursing programs (e.g., Pediatrics, Fundamentals, Public Health, Mental Health, Adult Health, Pharmacology, Advanced Pathophysiology, CNS/FNP).
• Work strategically with diverse colleagues/students; engage in scholarship.
• Advise students academically, spiritually, and socially; participate in university governance.
• Actively serve in the community, nursing profession, and a local church.

Qualifications:

• License: Current US RN license; willingness to obtain CA license by start date. Must meet CA BRN full-time faculty qualifications.
• Education: Graduate degree (MSN, DNP, or PhD) or current enrollment in an accredited nursing graduate program (PhD/DNP preferred for tenure track).
• Certifications: CNS/FNP national certification required for faculty teaching/overseeing those clinical tracks.
• Faith & Mission: Commitment to Christian liberal arts education, active church involvement, agreement with PLNU's Community Life Covenant.
