St. John's College of Nursing, part of HSHS Medical Group, seeks an Assistant Professor to support a baccalaureate and master's nursing program in Springfield, IL. The role involves faculty duties to implement the programs, governance participation, and advancing accreditation-aligned curricula.

The position requires nursing education credentials, RN license, and, for the master's track, APN license with FNP eligibility, along with teaching and clinical experience expectations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing is required for baccalaureate program.
• Doctorate degree in Nursing required for master’s program.
• Evidence of degree must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Two years teaching experience at baccalaureate level preferred.
• Per state law nurse faculty must have 2 years clinical experience. For master’s program experience teaching at the master’s level preferred and/or experiential expertise in content area.
• RN license in the state of practice is required.
• APN license required for master’s Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) track.

Responsabilités

• Carry out faculty duties necessary for the ongoing implementation of the nursing program.
• Maintain a qualified student body, a qualified faculty and a nursing curriculum meeting accreditation standards.
• Demonstrate scholarship of teaching and leadership through shared governance activities.
