Qualifications

• Active, current, unencumbered RN licensure in the applicable state.
• MSN degree required; BSN-prepared nurses may be considered depending on campus needs.
• Minimum of two years of clinical RN experience and per State Board of Nursing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Creates an environment that facilitates learning and achieving desired student learning and program outcomes.
• Implements teaching strategies appropriate to learner needs, outcomes, content, and context.
• Helps students develop as nurses and model expected professional values and behaviors.
• Uses a variety of assessment strategies for learning in classroom, lab, and clinical settings across cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domains.
• Analyzes student assessment data to inform continuous course improvement.
• Implements curriculum with program student learning outcomes (PSLOs) to guide delivery and evaluation.
• Designs and implements program assessments for continuous quality improvement.
• Engages in professional development to enhance faculty effectiveness.
• Maintains current practice knowledge to prepare students for contemporary nursing practice.
• Aligns with the college mission and values: excellence, compassion, accountability, inclusivity.
