Job summary

Independence Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support the 5 Main Medical/Surgical/Cardiovascular Telemetry Unit. The role involves assisting nursing staff, participating in patient care programs, and maintaining safe unit operations. Requires a High School Diploma; Nursing Assistant training is preferred.

Non-Exempt, full-time, with day/evening rotation and 40 hours per week. Candidate will help with safe medication handling and have strong customer service and communication

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Nursing Assistant training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff on 5 Main Medical/Surgical/Cardiovascular Telemetry Unit.
• Provide support for patient care programs and maintain unit operations.
• Safely transport medications and assist with purification of patient care tasks as directed.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication with patients and staff.
