Job summary

AccessHealth in New Jersey is seeking a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join the Radiology-PET department on a full-time basis. The role focuses on handling radiopharmaceuticals, calibrating equipment, and acquiring high-quality PET images for diagnostic procedures.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program, NJ license, ARRT/NMTCB certification, and BLS. PET experience and hospital technologist experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
  • Current NJ State license, ARRT and/or NMTCB certification, and BLS certification.
  • Preferred PET experience and two years hospital technologist experience.

  • Performing hot lab functions, including handling radio-pharmaceuticals in compliance with regulations.
  • Calibrating dose calibrators and conducting QC on gamma cameras.
  • Identifying patients, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Acquiring high-quality images using prescribed techniques.
  • Confirming test accuracy and assisting physicians with imaging procedures.
  • Maintaining departmental cleanliness and adhering to safety standards.
  • Completing special assignments and supporting team members as needed.
  • Providing courteous assistance to patients, visitors, and colleagues.
  • Performing additional duties as required by supervision.
