Job summary

Ventura Services Florida is seeking qualified RN or LPN candidates for full-time night shifts in Ohio. The role focuses on delivering direct patient care and supervising day-to-day nursing activities in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Eligible applicants must hold current Ohio RN or LPN licensure, complete postsecondary education, and demonstrate reliable attendance. Weekend and overtime availability is required as part of the job responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid LPN or RN license in the state of Ohio.
• Completion of postsecondary education and ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
• Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance as required.
• Must be able to work weekend and overtime as required.
• Must meet all local health regulations and pass postemployment exam, if required.
• Related experience at a level necessary to accomplish this position.

Responsibilities

• Ensure nursing personnel comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Assist in planning discharge plans for patients.
• Admit and transfer patients as required.
• Complete accident/incident reports as necessary.
• Document admissions, transfers, and discharges accurately.
• Receive and transcribe telephone orders from physicians.
• Chart nurses' notes reflecting care provided and patient responses.
• Complete necessary nursing documentation per policies.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians.
• Order prescribed medications, supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Ensure narcotics handling complies with regulations and maintain narcotic records.
• Make daily rounds to supervise nursing staff and assign tasks.
• Meet with nursing staff to improve services and discuss care.
• Collaborate with physicians during rounds and care planning.
• Ensure care plans are followed and policies are adhered to.
• Maintain a confidential, safe, and sanitary work environment.
• Follow infection control procedures and universal precautions.
• Review care plans to ensure appropriate care is rendered.

Education

LPN or RN license in Ohio
