Job summary

English Mountain Recovery seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for night shift to provide nursing care, assess clients, administer medications, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team in a psychiatric recovery setting.

The RN will document care, educate clients and families, and ensure safety and quality of care on each shift. Onsite position with opportunities to contribute to treatment plans and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• One or more years' nursing experience in clinical area of service provided by facility preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery environment preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience with psychotropic medications and medication administration procedures.
• Ability to apply nursing standards and practice within an acute psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs of client; develops and implements nursing care plans.
• Accurately administers medications, per orders, with two client identifiers.
• Maintains medical records and educates clients and families about conditions.
• Transcribes and reviews provider orders to ensure required elements are present and appropriate.
• Confers with treatment team regarding client care and escalates changes to supervisor.
• Completes admission and discharge processes and maintains thorough hand-off reports.
