Job summary

Kyeatright is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technician or MT for a full-time evening shift in Elizabethtown, KY. The role runs Monday through Friday from 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

with a 15% shift differential. You will perform routine lab procedures, analyze results, and help maintain equipment in a clinical setting. Required qualifications include an Associate degree in Laboratory Science or MLT, or suitable alternative education/training, and certification as an MLT within 12 months of hire.

• Alternative pathways include high school diploma with 50+ weeks military medical lab training or equivalent education/training.
• 60 semester hours with 24 in chemistry/biology/MLT-related courses, or 24 hours in MLT/science plus related training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine laboratory procedures on specimens (blood, urine, tissue).
• Analyze test results to determine disease presence, absence, or cause.
• Maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate, timely reporting of findings.
• Function as an educator as necessary.

Function as an educator as necessary. **Requirements:*** Associate degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology required; In lieu of an associate's degree: High school graduate or equivalent and successfully completed military training of 50 or more weeks and served as a Medical Laboratory Specialist; or Education and training equivalent to an associate degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology: A).Education: 60 semester hours including either 24 semester hours of Medical Laboratory Technology courses or 24 semester hours of science courses (6 hours of chemistry; 6 hours of biology, and 12 hours in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology, or any combination). B).
