Job summary

Ottawa County in Grand Haven, MI seeks a licensed mental health clinician to deliver diagnostic, therapy, and case management services. You will work with a treatment team to implement person-centered plans and coordinate with community resources.

The role requires a master's degree in social work or psychology, and licensure in Michigan. Travel to county locations may be required; typical schedule is Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related mental health field.
• Two years of relevant professional experience in a mental health agency preferred.
• Lived experiences with mental illness, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders valued.

Responsibilities

• Delivers services as a member of the treatment team.
• Conducts mental health screening, intake, and assessment to determine eligibility and develop treatment plans.
• Provides direct individual and group therapy based on diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Employs evidence-based practices aligned with recovery, community integration, and independence.
• Identifies community resources and establishes referral protocols to support treatment plans.
• Performs clinical evaluations to assist in court dispositions and may testify as an expert witness.
• May provide crisis intervention and coordinate with police and Crisis Services as needed.
• Develops person-centered treatment plans and monitors progress against benchmarks.
• Collaborates with psychiatrists for medication reviews and data presentation on patient behavior.
• Provides case management, monitors progress, and adjusts treatment plans as needed.
• Maintains case documentation and ensures privacy per HIPAA and CMH policies.
• Presents information about mental health services to community members.
