Job Description
Performs patient care under the physician's/nurse's direct supervision. Duties include, but are not limited to; preparing patient for physician, administering, obtaining and recording diagnostic laboratory test results, entering information into the patient's electronic or written chart. Ensures medical record is accurate, complete and meets medical coding requirements. Assists in coordinating organization of care to meet patient needs.

* High School Diploma or GED, required
* Successful completion of a six-month (6) to one (1) year course in Medical Assisting at an approved school, required. * Working knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD-9 coding, required
