Euclid Beach Nursing and Rehabilitation in Cleveland, OH is seeking a full-time Medical Records/Central Supply Clerk to join our team. You will safeguard patient privacy, process health information requests promptly, and maintain accurate electronic medical records and in-house charts in standard order.

Duties include scanning documents, attaching results to resident files, ensuring orders bear a physician's signature, and following HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strong data entry skills.
• Knowledge of ODH and OBRA regulations relevant to medical records.
• Detail and quality oriented with medical records.
• Able to work with minimum supervision and adapting to priorities.
• Good organizational and planning skills.
• Compassion and professionalism with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process requests for patient health information and maintain electronic medical records and/or in-house charts according to policy.
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard patient records, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Ensure medical records are accurate, complete, and assembled in standard order.
• Ensure orders requiring physician signatures are signed, dated, and scanned into EMR.
• Scan and attach to resident files any paper documents such as lab results or reports.
• Maintain knowledge of facility software; keep the medical record room neat and orderly.
• Arrange for medical records destruction when no longer needed.
• Notify administration of record requests; copy, print, or download records as requested.
• Follow established fire, disaster, safety, infection control and evacuation policies.
• Perform other related duties as directed by the Dean of Nursing and Administrator.
• Order and receive all supplies.
• Keep and organize all supplies.
