Job summary

Hill Crest Behavioral Health is seeking an Environmental Services/House Keeper to perform cleaning and laundry tasks across a 194-bed inpatient facility in Birmingham, AL. You will follow established routines under the Environmental Service Manager and work safely within facility guidelines.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, prior EVS experience in a medical setting, and availability for a rigorous orientation. Compliance with safety and infection-control standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Reads and implements written instructions.
• Operates floor machines including scrubbers and vacuums.
• Applies routine floor care in a medical facility.
• Uses basic computer tools.
• Physically capable of standing, bending, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Accurately measures cleaning solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and laundry tasks per routines under Environmental Service Manager guidance.
• Operate floor care equipment and related machinery.
• Maintain facility appearance and safety standards.
• Assist with general maintenance and repairs as directed.
