Job summary

Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, AL is seeking a housekeeping associate to maintain an assigned area in an orderly and sanitary condition, performing repetitive tasks as directed to support quality patient care. Qualifications include a high school education or equivalent, ability to read and write, follow verbal and written instructions, and read labels when preparing cleaning solutions.

1–3 months on‑the‑job experience preferred to learn cleaning procedures and power equipment

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, understand and/or transmit detailed instructions or information and perform simple arithmetic calculations.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in order to read labels when preparing cleaning solutions and follow supervisor's work orders.
• One to three months' on-the-job experience necessary to become familiar with heavy housekeeping duties and to acquire working knowledge of cleaning procedures and maintenance of power equipment.
