Job summary

COPE Community Services, Inc. seeks a full-time Medical Assistant to support licensed providers in primary care settings in Tucson, AZ. Under supervision, you will perform patient care, assist with exams, procedures, injections and education, and help maintain smooth patient flow.

You will prepare patients, collect data on health, weight, meds and allergies, and handle basic clinic tasks like filing and phones. Prior MA training and state requirements apply; driving license preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant certification program required.
• Must be at least 19 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with primary care duties.
• Help with patient care including exams, procedures, blood draws, injections and patient education.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and prepare patients for visits.
• Collect and record health data, weight, medications and allergies.
• Perform clinic support tasks such as filing, answering phones, and maintaining provider schedule.
