Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of clinical experience.
• Medical Assistant certification or higher CPR/First Aid certification required.
• English is required; a second language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and notify provider when ready.
• Ensure lab and diagnostic results are in the chart prior to appointment.
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked and clean.
• Collect vital signs, weight, height, and blood pressure.
• Verify medications, contact information, and allergies.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist the provider.
• Prepare and administer medications and injections as directed.
• Perform EKG and nebulizer treatments; assist with procedures.
• Transcribe prescriptions and manage refills as directed.
• Update and file patient records.
