The role includes patient intake, tests, screenings, labs, and documentation, while upholding confidentiality and safety standards. Requirements include high school diploma, BLS/CPR and CMA/CMAC/CMMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA certification.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of health care field and medical terminology
• Knowledge of chronic disease management
• Knowledge of and ability to utilize internal and external resources
• Expertise in patient advocacy and navigating complex systems
• Ability to function and assist others in stressful, fast-paced environments and effectively apply stress management techniques
• Ability to resolve issues and work independently within the scope of their certification
• Ability to exercise sound judgement, diplomacy and a professional demeanor
• Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing and typing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively to carry out job requirements
• Experience with computers required

Responsibilities

• Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
• Ensures compliance with policies and procedures and maintains clinical competencies.
• Prepares patients and equipment, initiates testing, documents results.
• Maintains OSHA compliance and safety processes.
• Provides care during visits: intake, screenings, labs, meds, care gaps.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient and employee information.
• Supports staff by assisting patients, visitors, coworkers.
• Educates patients on tests, medications, and diet.
• Monitors inventory and maintains medical equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
