Job summary

HealthNet, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant in Indianapolis. The role involves collecting patient information, preparing exam rooms and records, assisting providers during exams, performing laboratory tasks, and administering injections and phlebotomy.

You will also call patients for next-day appointments and provide patient education. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm, with duties expanding to other health center locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• BLS certification through AHA within one month of hire.
• Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient information and prepare for clinic visits.
• Call patients for next day appointments.
• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, records, and assist providers.
• Assist with examinations and general lab work.
• Administer injections/immunizations and phlebotomy.
• Provide patient education and clerical support.
