Responsibilities include collecting patient information, preparing exam rooms, assisting with exams, and providing injections, phlebotomy, and education.

Quotas include BLS within one month of hire and completion of an accredited MA program. Must have HS diploma or GED; flexibility to work at multiple health centers is required.

Qualifications

• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA within one month of hire.
• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Requires completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
• Requires equivalency if presenting a foreign degree.

Responsabilités

• Collect patient information.
• Call patients for next day appointments.
• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, medical records and patients for clinic visits and assist providers in patient exams and treatments.
• Assist with examination procedures.
• Perform general lab work.
• Administer injections and immunizations, and phlebotomy.
• Provide patient education and clerical support.
