Job summary

UW Health in Wisconsin is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, or LPN) for the Internal Medicine team. This full-time, day shift position supports providers by preparing patients, taking vital signs, recording chief complaints, medications, and allergies.

Duties include performing EKGs and assisting with treatments, promoting wellness and education, and delivering compassionate, patient-family centered care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program is required.
• Licensure as an LPN or certification CMA, RMA, or CCMA is required upon hire.
• One year of MA experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and document vital signs.
• Record chief complaint, medications, and allergies.
• Perform EKGs and administer medications and treatments.
• Assist providers in diagnosis and treatment planning.
