Job summary

ExpressCare Urgent Care Centers in Salisbury, MD is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to support providers and ensure efficient patient flow. You will perform triage, take vitals, collect specimens, assist with labs, and educate patients. Must have accredited MA program and CPR; CMA/RMA/CCMA preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with externship.
• CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Take detailed medical history and triage; document in EMR.
• Measure and record vital signs.
• Perform basic lab procedures (EKG, phlebotomy, urine collection, influenza swabs).
• Prepare and administer oral and injectable meds under physician supervision.
• Set up exam rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
• Educate patients on discharge instructions and medications.
• Complete checklists, inventory, and logs.
