Job summary

ExpressCare Urgent Centers in Hampstead, MD is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant. You will perform medical history intake, vital signs, basic lab procedures, and assist providers while ensuring a smooth patient experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and clinical externship (Required).
• CPR certification required.
• CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Medical history intake and triage with accurate EMR documentation.
• Measure and record vital signs (BP, HR, temp, height/weight).
• Perform basic lab procedures (EKG, phlebotomy, urine collection, swabs).
• Prepare and administer medications under physician supervision.
• Prepare exam rooms with instruments and supplies.
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions.
• Complete administrative tasks and logs.
• Commit to weekend/holiday scheduling as needed.
