Job summary

Renown Health in Reno, NV is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers in front and back office settings, coordinating patient care and serving as a liaison between patient and clinician. The role may float to multiple sites within the health system and requires strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vital signs, preparing specimens, arranging referrals, and ensuring all paperwork aligns with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must have working-level knowledge of the English language.
• Multi-physician office practice experience highly preferred.
• CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA, EMT 1 or externship with leadership approval preferred.
• Nevada license requirements for Office/ Laboratory Assistant and related certifications may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers in back and front office procedures.
• Liaise between provider and patient to address questions or concerns.
• Float to various sites within the health system as needed.
• Room patients and take vital signs per guidelines; prepare lab specimens.
• Coordinate referrals and obtain necessary authorizations; file records for permanent chart.
