SIMEDHealth in Gainesville, FL is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for our Allergy clinic. You will support patient care, document vitals, and help manage clinic flow in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires current BLS/CPR, completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program or national certification, and experience with electronic health records. On-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Current BLS/CPR certification is required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or National Certification preferred.
• Experience with electronic health records is preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of prior clinical experience is preferred.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring accurate and complete patient information is readily available in their electronic medical records.
• Welcoming patients to the exam room and documenting vital signs in the EHR.
• Coordinating between patients and providers for medication refills.
• Administering prescribed medications (injections, oral, topical) as trained.
• Assisting with procedures (EKGs, spirometry, dressings, wound care) per needs.
• Triaging patient phone calls and answering medical inquiries.
• Assisting with referrals and authorizations for procedures and surgeries.
