Job summary

Grand Canyon University Henderson ABSN program seeks an Immediate Full-Time Clinical Faculty member. You will reinforce didactic content within clinical and lab settings and collaborate with faculty to evaluate student progress during clinical rotations.

The role requires travel daily within the greater Las Vegas area to observe student performance, maintains accreditation standards, and supports the university mission and Doctrinal Statements.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ MedSurg nursing experience within the last 2 years.
• Active, current RN license in Nevada or a compact state.
• Prior collegiate teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce didactic content and teach in clinical and lab settings for pre-licensure nursing.
• Collaborate with content area faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward clinical/lab objectives.
• Participate in grading written and Clinical/Lab performance check-offs.
• Maintain communication with program faculty and director, including attendance at select faculty meetings.
• Remain current with trends and developments in nursing practice.
• Maintain compliance with accreditation requirements for the program.
• Uphold the tenets of nursing as a holistic profession and the university pillars.
• Travel to student clinical sites to directly observe student performance.
