Job summary

Kimberton Whole Foods is seeking a full-time Meat & Dairy team member in Douglassville, PA. The role requires working a mix of opening and closing shifts, with one weekend shift per week and approximately 40 hours weekly.

You will provide excellent customer service and help stock and manage meat, dairy, and related products in a cold environment. Pay starts at $16.00 per hour with full-time benefits including medical, vision, dental, store discounts, disability coverage, life insurance, 401(k)

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all customers.
• Receive and stock all incoming refrigerated/frozen items including fresh meat and dairy, local eggs and dairy.
• Receive and stock fresh bakery items and specialty products.
• Execute the current KWF ordering SOP to maintain fully stocked shelves in all departments.
• Collaborate with the Perishable Department Head to maintain accurate product signage.
• Follow KWF cleaning SOP, including weekly cleaning of meat, dairy and prepared food cases.
• Assist the Front End by scanning customers' groceries and completing transactions efficiently.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed.

DAILY OPERATIONS

• Provide exceptional customer service to all.
• Receive and stock all incoming refrigerated/frozen items including fresh meat and fish, local eggs and dairy. Receive and stock fresh bakery items and specialty products.
• Execute the current KWF ordering SOP to maintain fully stocked shelves in all departments.
• Work in collaboration with the Perishable Department Head to maintain accurate and up-to-date product signage throughout the entire department.
• Follow KWF cleaning SOP, including weekly cleaning of the meat, dairy and prepared food cases.
• Assist the Front End by scanning customers' groceries and completing all transactions efficiently. Carefully and efficiently bags groceries.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed.

Requirements

Physical Capabilities

• Full sense range (vision, hearing, and sense of smell) – the ability to read product labels, distinguish color & smell for quality control as well as the ability to communicate with the customers and co-workers.
• Lifting, gripping, and carrying objects – up to 50-75 pounds frequently, including boxes, cans, tools and other products.
• Stooping, squatting, & kneeling – stoop and maneuver to pick up boxes from shelving and carts.
• Walking – short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas.
• Standing- prolonged standing.
• Work environment – movement based with the majority of time being in motion (walking & standing) rather that sedentary (sitting).
• Climate – ability to work in cold environments (cooler, Freezer, back stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time on a regular basis.
