Job summary

AMI in Somers Point, NJ is seeking a Mammography Technologist with Biopsy Navigation to support screening and diagnostic imaging, biopsies, and patient education. The role includes coordination of biopsies, MRI, ultrasound, and related procedures with the breast health team.

The position requires ARRT Mammography registry, NJ DEP licensure, and BLS certification, with emphasis on MQSA standards and data management in MagView. Training and schedule flexibility are provided.

Qualifications

• ARRT Mammography registry and NJ DEP licensure required.
• Current AHA or Red Cross BLS certification.
• Experience with mammography and IV access or willingness to train.
• Strong MQSA standards knowledge and patient education.
• Advanced computer skills and ability to adapt to new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography and Dexa exams per radiology standards.
• Coordinate scheduling and prep for breast biopsies, MRI, ultrasound, and biopsy.
• Educate patients about procedures and breast self-examination.
• Follow up with patients after abnormal results to ensure access to evaluation.
• Notify referring physicians when further diagnostic evaluation is needed.
• Assist during biopsies and provide moral support when appropriate.
• Track biopsy outcomes and participate in medical audits.
• Oversee staff training and assignments; report staffing concerns.
• Data entry of pathology reports into MagView.
• Manage biopsy supplies and inventory.
• Assist with MQSA inspections and ACR certifications.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Schedule includes Monday-Friday, 8-hour days, rotating Saturdays.
