The Two Rivers YMCA is looking for an experienced full-time Maintenance Worker to manage maintenance tasks across multiple facilities. Responsibilities include building upkeep, equipment monitoring, and effective communication with staff and members. Ideal candidates should have five years of experience and relevant certifications.
The Two Rivers YMCA is seeking an experienced full-time Maintenance Worker for the day shift, working 35-40 hours per week. The starting pay is $16.00 per hour, with potential increases based on experience.
The ideal candidate should be skilled in using hand tools, power tools, various mowers, snow blowers, and other equipment. Knowledge of swimming pools, boilers, pumps, and motors is a plus but not mandatory. The candidate must be mechanically inclined, able to troubleshoot problems using the work order system, and capable of devising solutions for issues across multiple facilities, including the Two Rivers Y, Rock Island Y, Bass Street Y, Kewanee Y, Golf Center, and Spirit Mind and Body Center. Reliable transportation is required as travel between facilities may be necessary.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, and at least five years of maintenance experience. Must be able to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and instructions; write routine reports; and communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Basic math skills are required, including working with percentages, ratios, and proportions.
Certifications such as CPR/AED (infant, child, and adult), Bloodborne Pathogens, and Hazard Communication are required. A valid driver's license and insurance are necessary if driving is involved. Candidates should be competent with computers and have training in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and pool chemistry. Experience with pool filter equipment and tools is preferred.
The physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception. The work environment may involve exposure to mechanical parts, heights, outdoor weather, chemicals, and noise levels that are usually moderate but can sometimes be loud.
