Job summary

Horsham Center for Jewish Life in Montgomery County, PA is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to keep our 324-bed long-term care community safe and well-maintained. You will handle routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and general building upkeep to support resident comfort and safety.

The ideal candidate has hands-on maintenance experience, knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC, and the ability to troubleshoot issues independently.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance experience required; healthcare or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and perform repairs independently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable attendance and willingness to work one weekend day each week.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and general maintenance throughout the facility.
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Assist with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and minor HVAC repairs.
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
• Conduct regular safety checks and address maintenance concerns.
• Assist with maintaining the facility grounds and outdoor areas.
• Follow all safety, fire, and infection control regulations.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
