Responsibilities

• Maintain community curb appeal through landscaping of vacant lots and common areas.
• Monitor property maintenance concerns affecting appearance and safety.
• Perform rehabilitation of manufactured homes (demolition, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring).
• Provide evidence of past rehab work via photos or references.
• Keep progress steady on rehab projects while meeting maintenance needs.
• Complete work orders including plumbing repairs and sewer unclogging with provided tools.
• Replace and repair water meters and assist with utility-related maintenance.
• Operate lawn and maintenance equipment safely; backhoe is a plus but not required.
• Maintain tools and work areas in a safe, organized manner.
• Assist on other community improvement projects and be available for after-hours work.

Maintenance Technician (Grounds & Home Rehabilitation)

We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated Maintenance Technician to support the operations of our manufactured home community in Roswell, New Mexico. This full-time position is responsible for maintaining the community's appearance, completing home rehabilitation projects, and assisting with general maintenance to ensure the property remains safe, clean, and welcoming.

The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, has experience remodeling homes, and takes pride in producing quality work.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain community curb appeal by mowing, trimming, weed control, and general landscaping of vacant lots, common areas, and other company-maintained property.
• Monitor the property for maintenance concerns and address issues that affect the appearance and safety of the community.
• Perform complete rehabilitation of company-owned manufactured homes, including demolition, carpentry, drywall repair, painting, flooring, trim work, fixture installation, and other finish work.
• Demonstrate previous home rehabilitation experience through photos, references, or examples of completed projects.
• Maintain steady weekly progress on assigned home rehabilitation projects while balancing the ongoing maintenance needs of the community.
• Complete work orders, including basic plumbing repairs, unclogging sewer lines (using company-provided equipment), and other general maintenance requests.
• Replace and repair water meters and assist with utility-related maintenance throughout the community.
• Operate lawn equipment and other maintenance equipment safely; backhoe experience is preferred but not required.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner.
• Assist with other community improvement projects as assigned.
• Be available for occasional after-hours or emergency maintenance requests.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with residential electrical troubleshooting and repairs is highly preferred.
• An active electrical license or other skilled trade certification is a plus.
• Additional compensation may be considered for candidates with licensed electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or other advanced trade experience.
