Job summary

Canada's Wonderland is looking for a Mechanic Technician to provide skilled technical services on ride structures and other components. You'll perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and manage general maintenance to ensure safety in the amusement park. Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma, enjoy hands-on work, and have basic mechanical knowledge.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Demonstrates skills in reading, writing, and keeping accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on amusement park rides.
• Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical devices for safety.
• Work with hydraulics, gearboxes, pneumatics, and perform millwright work.

Job Summary:The Mechanic Technicianprovides skilled technical services on various ride structures, vehicles, and other components.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of amusement park rides and devises. Must also be willing and able to perform and/or assist in other Park repairs and maintenance that is deemed necessary by Supervision.

· Troubleshooting and/or perform general maintenance of mechanical devices and vehicles to assure proper function and safety.

· Working with hydraulics, gearboxes, pneumatics, and conveyors, and performing millwright work.

· Climbing/Inspecting track and structure.

Skills and Qualifications:

· Basic knowledge of the operational aspects of machinery components.

· A valid Driver's License and High School Diploma or valid GED.

· A basic set of hand tools.

· Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

· Ability to perform various physical activities, such as climbing, crawling, and lifting, from various heights on ride structures.

· Vocational or technical trade certifications.

· Demonstrate communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking), and ability to keep accurate written records.

Qualifier

· Level 1: Applies general skills and some experience

· Level 2: Applies skills and special knowledge with typically 3+ years of experience

· Level 3: Applies full specialized skills and knowledge with 5+ years of experience

· Level 4: Applies expert level of knowledge, skills with 7+ years of experience
