The Maintenance Mechanic I (Grounds) is a member of the College's Buildings & Grounds Department.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must possess:
The incumbent must also have possession of a valid New York State Driver/Operator's License appropriate to the equipment operated at the time of appointment and maintenance of the same while in the title.
Depending on the work assignment, the incumbent must meet the standards of OSHA regulation 1910.134 Respiratory Protection and will be required to meet federal, state and local standards with respect to health and safety. Depending on the work assignment, the incumbent may also be required to be a Certified Pesticide Applicator in New York State, within the appropriate category at the time of appointment and maintain the same while in the title.

POSITION EFFECTIVE: The position will remain open until filled.
SALARY & BENEFITS: The starting salary is $50,787. Additional compensation with seniority steps maximize at a salary of $61,566. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage, a choice of defined benefit and/or defined contribution pension plan, generous leave benefits, and access to tax sheltered annuities and a deferred compensation plan.
