Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Laramie (managed by Schulte Hospitality Group) seeks a energetic Maintenance Engineer/Shuttle Driver to join our hotel team. You will oversee grounds, public areas and guest rooms, and provide shuttle services to guests with a focus on safety and service.

The role requires HVAC/plumbing/electrical knowledge, strong time management, and excellent communication. This position may require nights/weekends and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Hotel maintenance experience preferred (2+ years).
• Some college or trade school in mechanical/electrical disciplines preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the property grounds, public areas and hotel guest rooms.
• Performs preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel areas.
• Paints, replaces electrical components, maintains HVAC.
• Checks fixtures, lighting and signs; maintains spare parts inventory.
• Responds promptly to maintenance orders.
• Completes work orders promptly.
• Conducts daily rounds and reports problems.
• Assists with additional duties as assigned.
• Drives shuttle van for passengers.
• Maintains clean MVR record.
• Available to work nights and weekends.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversees the property grounds, public areas and hotel guest rooms
• Conducts preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations
• Paints, replaces electrical accessories, maintains HVAC
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs
• Responds to maintenance orders in a timely manner
• Fulfills work orders in a timely manner
• Completed daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems
• Perform various other duties as assigned
• Drive passengers in shuttle van
• Clean MVR record
• Must be able to work nights and weekends

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of three (2) years in a hotel maintenance position preferred
• Preferred but not necessary, one (1) year of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines
• In‑depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Basic math skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
• Excellent time management skills
