Job summary

Pratt Industries in Henderson, KY is seeking a Machine Operator for a full-time year-round position. You will help turn recycled paper into sheets of paper and board, and operate machines that convert corrugated board into the 2-D version of a box.

No experience is required, but experience in paper or packaging is a huge plus. Candidates should be able to read a tape measure, follow instructions, and work safely in a loud production environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior packaging industry experience preferred.
• 6 months’ manufacturing operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machines to maximize equipment utilization and speed.
• Train and assist First and Second Helpers with machine duties.
• Cross-train on other machines and complete required production reports.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping; follow company policies.
• Suggest schedule improvements to meet cost, quality and service goals.
