Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking an hourly forklift operator to safely operate and care for forklifts, inspect before shifts, and maintain accurate stock locations. You will deliver stock to machines, complete paperwork, and support production schedules while adhering to safety and housekeeping standards.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, and prior corrugated industry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Prior corrugated industry experience preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely and in accordance with procedures.
• Complete forklift inspections before shift and after changing forklifts.
• Document inspections and maintenance requests promptly.
• Locate stock before each run and deliver to machines safely.
• Maintain neat stock storage and accurate location records.
• Assist with production schedule and optimization suggestions.
• Provide backup to Shipping Lead Person and complete required reports.
