Buckner Retirement Services Community: Parkway by Buckner in Houston, TX is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to deliver compassionate resident care onsite. You will coordinate care plans, supervise aides, administer medications, and help ensure regulatory compliance under the direction of the Director of Nursing.

Candidates must graduate from an accredited nursing program and hold a current Texas nursing license. Prior long-term care experience is preferred.

Formación

• Must graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must hold and maintain current Texas nursing license.
• Must complete training/certification required by Buckner and the State of Texas.

Responsabilidades

• Follow individual health care plans; administer or supervise treatments.
• Administer IM and subcutaneous injections; perform in-house tests; record vitals.
• Make rounds with residents and physicians; document visits on charts.
• Supervise aides; assign duties and monitor performance.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications; chart dosing accurately.
• Order new medications and refills; chart initial doses.
• Direct charting on shift and evaluate resident charts for policy compliance.
• Recognize significant changes in resident condition; escalate as directed by nursing leadership.
• Communicate with resident families professionally; address questions or concerns.
• Complete focused assessments and discharge documentation as required.
• Intervene in resident disputes to maintain safety and harmony.
• Maintain thorough documentation and collaborate with care team.
