Job summary

Excelsior Orthopaedics Amherst, NY is seeking a clinical support specialist to join a clinical operations team, helping providers deliver safe, positive patient experiences throughout every visit.

You will room patients, assist with casts, sutures, and braces, perform wound care, take vitals, update the EMR (MEDENT preferred), and help maintain exam rooms and patient records while supporting staff.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS LPN license or ATC BOC certification.
• 2+ years in high-volume medical office preferred.
• Experience in wound care and casting preferred.
• EMR knowledge required, MEDENT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth patient flow in operational areas.
• Perform clinical duties in Express, Cast Room, and pods.
• Apply and remove casts, sutures, staples, braces.
• Perform wound care and patient education.
• Respond to triages as needed per SOPs.
• Room patients, take vitals and history, update EMR.
• Update patient records and assist with follow-ups.
• Maintain exam rooms and replenish supplies.
• Train others as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
