Job summary

Thisiscny in Syracuse is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide patient care in the Nursing-2N-Rehabilitation unit. The role reports to a registered nurse, performs medication administration, vital signs, EKGs, and hands-on nursing care. CPR certification and NYS LPN licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Meets NYS Civil Service appointment requirements for the title of T&R Center Licensed Practical Nurse.
• LPN licensure and registration as outlined by NYS Education Department.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Administers individualized care per the plan of care and standards.
• Administers medications and monitors patient condition, reports changes to RN.
• Obtains vital signs and prepares for EKGs; assists with patient teaching.
• Maintains safety and teamwork, supports integration of new staff and care plan implementation.
