Job summary

Community Options, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse in Pittsburgh, PA to deliver nursing care to individuals with disabilities in a community setting. The RN delivers care following the nursing process, coordinating with health team members and families to maintain professional standards.

Starting pay is $32.00 per hour. Responsibilities include procedures, medical scheduling, reporting, and training staff on medical needs, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nursing.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience with individuals with disabilities.
• Valid RN license and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to calculate medication dosages and respond in crisis situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment and health care procedures ordered by a physician.
• Ensure individuals attend medical appointments per their ISP.
• Advise supervisor of concerns related to nursing services.
• Create and distribute medical/health reports detailing health goals and physician recommendations.
• Conduct trainings including medication administration and delegation.
• Develop and update ISP/PCP with interdisciplinary team.
