Job summary

Summit Medical Group of Clinton in Clinton, TN is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to join their clinic. This full-time, on-site position involves patient prep, vital signs, phlebotomy and assisting physicians with procedures, as well as patient education and care coordination.

Applicants must have a TN Practical Nursing license or CMA certification, plus clinical experience; a complete benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Additional vocational or college credits required.
• Current TN license in Practical Nursing or National CMA/RMA certification required.
• Clinical experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations.
• Record vital signs including pulse, blood pressure, height and weight.
• Perform phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and holter monitors.
• Assist physicians with procedures and provide patient education.
• Handle triage calls, pre-certifications, referrals, and prescription requests.
• Maintain neat, stocked exam rooms and assist with clerical tasks as needed.
• Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; participate in quality improvement.
