Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care to pediatric and adult patients across multiple specialties. The LPN works under the supervision of an RN or supervisor and supports care planning through data collection and communication.

The position requires an LPN license, strong communication skills, teamwork, and flexibility with hours. Knowledge of electronic medical records is preferred to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of practical nursing or passed LPN boards within a defined period in a nursing program.
• One year LPN experience in last five years preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience working in a team environment and ability to use a computer with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to pediatric and adult patients across Plastics, Gynecology, Thoracic, Breast, Endocrine, Bariatric and Liver/Pancreas specialties.
• Collect data through observation and communicate findings to RN/provider for assessment and care planning.
• Work as a team member and participate in quality improvement projects and committees.
