Discovery Commons Bethel Park in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate, high‑quality nursing care for our senior residents. This full‑time role covers days, evenings, and weekends, with a pay rate of $30 per hour.

You will administer medications, assess residents, document accurately, and collaborate with physicians, families, and care staff to support safety, dignity, and well‑being in our community.

Qualifications

  • Current LPN license (or RN per state regulations).
  • Minimum of 2 years of licensed nurse experience required.
  • Experience in assisted living/long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care per care plans and policies.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you’ll play an essential role in enriching the lives of seniors by providing compassionate, high‑quality nursing care while supporting resident safety, dignity, and well‑being every single day.

Position Highlights
  • Status: Full Time
  • Schedule: Days, Evenings, and weekends
  • Location: 2000 Cool Springs Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15234
  • Rate of Pay: $30/hour
What You’ll Do
  • Provide nursing care to residents in accordance with established care plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of residents’ physical and psychosocial status and monitor for changes in condition.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document appropriately.
  • Coordinate and communicate resident care needs with physicians, families, pharmacies, and other care providers.
  • Support health promotion, disease prevention, and wellness initiatives within the community.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
  • Assist with care planning, service plan updates, and resident evaluations as required.
  • Collaborate with caregivers, wellness team members, and leadership to ensure consistent, high‑quality care delivery.
  • Respond to resident concerns, incidents, and emergencies using sound clinical judgment.
  • Support training and guidance for care staff as appropriate.
  • Ensure the community adheres to applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to resident care and services.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives, audits, and compliance activities as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license, or a Professional Registered Nurse as per state regulations.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Licensed Nurse experience required.
  • Experience in assisted living, long‑term care, or a skilled nursing environment preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Effective organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and delegate appropriately.
  • Demonstrated commitment to seniors and person‑centered care.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and flexible schedules as required by the community.
  • Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to respond to medical emergencies.
  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious disease.
  • Ability to lift or assist residents as required by care plans.
