Job summary

Milton Hershey School seeks a two-person, married couple to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents in on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA. You will provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students, creating a structured, family-like environment aligned with academic, emotional, and social development.

Initial duties include supervision, routines, and activities; later progression to a placed home with the same group of students. Requires dedication and shared responsibility.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel (proselytizing prohibited).
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational events.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
