  1. Following methods and procedures regarding food preservation, production, sanitation, and equipment care.
  2. Demonstrating proficiency in grilling, frying, baking, broiling, sautéing, and pantry preparation.
  3. Applying basic math and reading skills.

Job Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of food preservation, sanitation, and equipment care.
  • Proficiency in various cooking techniques.
  • Basic math and reading skills.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Adhere to SOPs.
  • Work effectively with team members.
  • Ensure tasks are completed accurately and safely.
  • Complete daily tasks within set time frames.
  • Report quality issues and equipment failures promptly.
  • Follow food handling regulations per ServSafe and Maine Health Code.
  • Pass the ServSafe exam.
  • Coordinate with team to deliver meals efficiently.
  • Follow recipes, monitor cooking times and temperatures, and ensure proper seasoning.

Job Specifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills across diverse teams.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Assist in food prep and kitchen maintenance.
  • Handle food deliveries properly.
  • Possess basic kitchen operational knowledge and advanced cooking, knife skills, and food identification skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

May need to exert force up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds regularly. Normal hearing, vision, and manual dexterity required.
