Job summary

Red Rock Pharmacy is seeking a full-time Pharmacist for our Salt Lake City location. We are a fast-paced, patient-focused long-term-care pharmacy looking for a hard-working and organized pharmacist who pays attention to detail and enjoys working with a team.

Prior long-term care experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is key. Responsibilities include medication safety, supervising staff, inventory control, and compliance with HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license in Utah and in good standing.
• Active Controlled Substance license.
• Long Term Care pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication abilities.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Expert use and safety of medications dispensed.
• Work alongside physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, interns, and ancillary help with filling, dispensing, labeling and packaging of medication.
• Perform the final check on all medication.
• Manage inventory and profitability ( invoicing purchasing, labor etc. ).
• Protect health information (HIPPA).
• Prevent fraud, waste, and abuse.
• Prepare sterile solutions according to USP 797.
• Prepare Enteral feeding and nutrition.
• Prepare computer generated forms and reports.
• Maintain the legal aspects of pharmacy practice and regulations.
