Job summary

Washington County is seeking a full-time Courier for the Materials Movement team, responsible for sorting and delivering library materials between 16 county library locations. You will work on a 7:00am start schedule, load totes, deliver to multiple libraries, and assist with warehouse duties and interlibrary loans.

As a member of the WCCLS, you will interact with library staff and the public daily, while maintaining inventory and participating in centralized collection management efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of courier/delivery or warehousing experience.
• Must possess Oregon driver’s license and have a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Load a delivery truck with library totes full of materials.
• Make deliveries and pickups at 3-6 libraries on route.
• Return to the warehouse to drop off totes and induct materials on central sorter.
• Interact with library staff and the public daily.
• Shelve items, inspect shipments, pack items for library mail, and assist with interlibrary loans.
