Job Summary

The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating and maintaining a faith-filled, engaging, and academically supportive classroom environment. This role includes planning and delivering instruction aligned with school standards, guiding students’ spiritual and personal growth, and fostering a respectful and organized learning atmosphere rooted in Catholic values. The Lead Teacher serves as the primary educator for an assigned class or subject area and collaborates with colleagues, families, and administration to support the mission of the school and ensure student success.

Job Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high‑quality instruction that supports the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development of students.
  • Integrate Catholic teachings, values, and traditions into the learning environment and daily interactions.
  • Create a structured, organized, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages student engagement and responsible behavior.
  • Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative methods; maintain accurate records and report progress to families.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the varied learning needs and abilities of students.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success and strengthen the school community.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, aides, and staff members to plan curriculum, coordinate activities, and contribute to the overall mission of the school.
  • Supervise students in the classroom, hallways, recess areas, and other school settings as needed.
  • Participate in professional development, staff meetings, school liturgies, and community events.
  • Maintain classroom materials, follow school policies, and model behavior consistent with Catholic values.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required; valid teaching certification preferred or as required by the school/diocese.
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting; prior teaching experience preferred.
  • Commitment to supporting and upholding the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a safe, structured, and faith‑centered learning environment.
  • Effective communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with staff, engage families, and contribute positively to the school community.
  • Flexibility, professionalism, and a willingness to support school initiatives and needs.
